What is the inspiration behind this EP?
I'm a huge fan of Depeche Mode, and they wrote a song called "Where's the Revolution", that talks about how society is oppressed and controlled by authoritarian governments, and we are not doing what we are capable of to change this reality. That idea reflects the last government here in Brazil in my opinion, as we suffered from a fascist regime for 4 years, and I felt I should express that feeling in music. I truly believe that if we stay together and "get on board", we could change the world to a better place. That's what inspired me.
How did you come up with the name?
I took "Get On Board" from the lyrics of "Where's the Revolution", and I figured that "With Me" was a name that expressed a similar idea.
How did you overcome challenges to this EP?
It took me about 3 months to finish both tracks, and I struggled a lot with the ideas and mixing details. It's been just 3 years since I started to produce music, so I am still learning a lot of things and getting experience and confidence, I think that's why it took me so long.
How did you decide on the label who releases your music?
Gorkiz has been supporting me a lot, he is a very nice guy and an amazing producer, and he invited me to release on Comet. After I saw the amazing work they've been doing, releasing beautiful Progressive House tracks, I felt I was very lucky to get that invitation.
How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing
Comet's releases are Progressive House with huge atmospheres, aggressive synths and a very swingy groove, that's all I've been trying to add on my tracks lately.
An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP? And why?
I used Serum a lot on this EP, it's just a very practical and light synth that I learned to do everything I want. It doesn't have that special warmth or character, but I try to add that texture by layering with other synths and with saturation, reverbs, delays and compression.
How soon can we expect your next release and what is that going to be about?
I've been producing a lot this year and signed with great labels, but I don't have a date for my next release yet. I believe the next one will come out between November and December.
