What is the inspiration behind this EP? How did you come up with the name?
The inspiration behind this EP was drawn from the broken beat style of music. I was looking for a name that signifies my incremental journey as an artist, that’s where I found this name to be a good fit.
How did you overcome challenges to this EP? If there were any.
Yes, there were challenges while refining the tracks. Trying different techniques, sounds & taking feedback from the experienced circle of artist friends I am blessed with, like I7HVN, Vishal Unni & Inskape, was really helpful; And simultaneously trusting my creation process.
How did you decide on artists who would remix/Collab?
The decision on artists for remixes and collaborations wasn't entirely in my control; it unfolded as an opportunity. I'm grateful with how the EP took shape, with a diverse palette of sounds through these collaborations. The end result reflects the unexpected beauty that emerged from the varied creative processes.
How did you decide on the label who releases your music?
I looked for a label that aligns with my artistic vision & supporting similar vibe & genres.
How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing?
I found the perfect fit with the label by listening to their music and checking out the artists they work with. It was a natural match – my tracks vibe well with their style, making it a great home for my EP.
An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP?
Safar collective played a significant, although indirect, role in shaping this EP. Engaging with their challenges kept me occupied, leading to experimentation and creative approaches that I hadn't explored before.
How soon can we expect your next release and what is that going to be about?
I'm aiming for an early release next year. Stay tuned for more details as I continue to explore new musical territories and bring fresh sounds.
