What is the inspiration behind this EP? How did you come up with the name?
Hi there guys. We could say I got my inspiration from certain exercises I do everyday. Suddenly the ideas come out and you just have to record it. I try to design techniques that help me to construct certain sounds and melodies. Glasses guy is part of this process i made.
The name is because I use Glasses. Sometimes people call me “The Glasses Guy”
How did you overcome challenges to this EP? If there were any.
They were not challenges as well but I have always to struggle with time when I want to create catchy melodies for my tracks. I really could spend from days to months for that exact melodies and Sounds. The key is try to finish the tracks without desesperate.
How did you decide on artists who would remix/Collab?
The label decided who remixer was. He was tojogo who made a great remix of Glasses guy. I really liked his work. He’s a great artist on this genre.
How did you decide on the label who releases your music?
They sometimes come to me and ask me for unreleased music. That’s mainly the way I’ve been working lately. I try to have some tracks always for these occasions. This makes that other labels also come to me asking for some music.
An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP? And why?
The textures on synths. I tried to use more 80’s Sounds in the breaks and plucks/leads I used. Mainly my work is focused on the synths sound and what they made feel to the listeners.I also enjoy to play piano at home and to rehearsal certain sounds/compositions.
How soon can we expect your next release and what is that going to be about?
April, May and june will be my next releases. Some organic/progressive house releases.This year I’m not expecting to be remixer of any label. I want to release some original tracks.
