Rodrives Makes the Cut in For Senses' Latest VA - The Habitat Compilation
Hi Rodrives, congratulations on your release of such a brilliant track and your debut on For Senses. Thank you for taking your time out to answer few questions pertaining to your track and thank you for an opportunity to premiere.
What is the inspiration behind this single? How did you come up with the name?
I Always try to bring inspiration from inside of me through listening to music, meditation, sometimes just walking around observing nature, something that I did a lot during these times of pandemic. Supernova was inspired by good changes that took place in my life during this period. I used to sign another project before and this was one of my first productions as Rodrives. The name came to my mind because it represents a stellar explosion, where something new is born.
How did you overcome challenges to this single? If there were any.
Having clarity about your goal, dedication and consistency are some things that definitely have helped me to overcome challenges.
How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing
I've been following the great work Transensations has been doing for a while and after finishing this track I felt confident to send my demo to them. It happened to fit in the proposal of its sister label For Senses.
An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP? And why?
The main melody verse is very special to me, where I just let it flow by playing notes on my keyboard, the rest of the song was built around that.
A release on Transensations, how is the impact of it going to be on your career?
It has a special impact, as it's my first release as Rodrives and I've been getting a lot of positive feedback, which makes me more excited to produce new stuff.
How soon do you think you are going to return to Transensations?
I hope very soon. Being part of this debut VA was amazing and I would feel honored to work with them again.
