Premiere: I7HVN's latest Single from his EP on Neurom Records

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

Congratulations on your latest release and thank you for this opportunity to premiere one of your tracks, it is a pleasure.

BRC: What is the inspiration behind this EP?

I7HVN: The EP as well as my identity is based on a fictional world I've made. Ausan is one of the continents in that space. It all comes down from my love of fantasy fiction & urge to weave mystical stories. Incision is one of the legendary weapons which was lost during the Elden wars in my story.

BRC: How did you overcome challenges to this EP?

I7HVN: The biggest challenge was the switch to this style of music, With alot of introspective analysis & new methods of making music, I took almost an year to finish off this project but I loved every bit of the journey. There were maybe almost 10 more tracks that didn’t make it.

BRC: How did you decide on artists who would remix? And what do you think of the end result?

I7HVN: Artists on the roster of Neurom, my friends & the label owner himself. It was a help from everyone to make it big, also the fact that they all go really well with the kind of music I make is amazing. I’ve tracks starting from electronica to techno to broken beats.

BRC: How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing

I7HVN: The label is based around releasing music which is texture heavy, I personally recorded some of the elements in the tracks on the EP & later processed them. Other than that, The label has a wide variety of sub genre, just like me. I don’t stick to making a single kind of sub sound. So it was an easy decision.

BRC: An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP? And why?

I7HVN: The technique which I used the most was Granular synthesis & resampling. I love organic sounds, Sounds existing in nature such as wind, flow of rivers etc. I try to use these recordings in a way no one can recognize them as the same.

BRC: A release on Neurom, how is the impact of it going to be on your career?

IVHVN: It’s a major step as the label made me grow not just in this new phase of style but also contributed a lot to the post release support & remix pack. A Big ass shoutout to Neurom, Love you Rolph.

BRC: How soon do you think you are going to return to Neurom?

I7HVN: Nothing planned as of now but Rolph (Label owner) is more like extended family now, after the release also i’ll be available to support the label in any way. Be it music or backend work.
