What is the inspiration behind this EP? How did you come up with the name?
It arises from musical influences of the moment. As a producer and DJ I am constantly listening to music of various genres, which makes all those sounds and nuances take center stage when producing.
Although my productions are more Deep and Progressive House, in this particular EP, a more organic side appears, generating greater musical emotions. I think about the names when the track is finished and what a feeling it generates in me when I hear it. In this case, ¨Solar¨ is thought of its ideal sounds for a sunny day. And ¨Balance¨ since it is a balance between Progressive House and Deep House.
How did you overcome challenges to this EP?
This EP presented me with the challenge of choosing the sounds correctly so that they generate the right atmosphere and flow creatively. Although I must be honest and say that at times some creative blocks appeared and in that case I decided to take a break, take some time to go for a walk and let the inspiration be reborn on its own without forcing the processes.
How did you decide on artists who would remix? And what do you think of the end result?
This time the label chose the remixer and from the first moment they told me who he was, I totally agreed. Tojogo is a great artist and I knew that with his experience and production quality he would make a high level remix. The final result is excellent, it is a remix that retains elements of the original but adds rhythm and groove that makes it more versatile and ideal for the dance floor. I am very grateful for the work done by him.
How did you decide on the label who releases your music?
When looking for a label I try to find the right one for each EP. First of all, that the tracks coincide with the current sound of the label. And secondly, that it be a label where the correct promotion and diffusion of my tracks is given. In this case, For Senses was the ideal choice.
How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing.
I perceived that they had a very particular style and similar to my productions where Progressive House, Deep House and Organic House merge very well. Listening to their previous releases I identified with their sound, and I felt that it was the right time to send them these tracks.
An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP?
In both tracks I used the same elements to generate a harmony in the general sound of the entire EP. Use U-he Diva and native Ableton Live synths in conjunction with Plugin Alliance Lindel 80 Series emulating the Neve mixer giving the track the warmth of analog sound for the final mix.
How soon can we expect your next release and what is that going to be about?
My next releases will be available within the first half of the year on Soundteller Records and AH Digital. In both cases making remixes of a more Progressive House character.
