What made you create this label? Why? What is the idea and inspiration behind it?
The creation of the label is to be able to create a circle of musical energy and to be able to transmit everything that represents us in the human being within deep frequencies, environmental sounds and the musical synopsis.
Because we decided to create this label simply to support the new faces of producers and materialize dreams that remain stopped.
How long had the idea of a label been on your minds before its official launch? What were the challenges running up to its launch?
About 6 years ago it was in my mind to be able to create a label and to be able to transmit it to my best friend Sheol. It was a fusion of ideas where they materialized, after that time since in this industry the paths are difficult but not impossible.
A challenge before the first release was the date of operation of the label and the ideas that we wanted to capture since, being new to this industry, there were difficulties but little by little they were overcome, such as being able to perform adequate mastering on the tracks for that the Artist was satisfied with our work until the design of the image of the label.
What is the inspiration behind the log and artwork?
We capture what is shown in the sounds and we keep a line in each release because that is what the label represents.
What genre of music the label hosts and what do you look for specifically in a track that gives you that sense of belonging in a track to release it on your platform?
Our circle of sounds are mainly Deep Techno, Ambient, Experimental, Hypnotic Techno, Drone and Experimental, which when looking for these sounds we find that they contain each element that makes the label representative and also that transmits a positive energy to our friends.
In terms of demos, how do you accept, review and reject from all the thousands you receive? What are the challenges in sifting through the boatload of demos you receive for releases and the communication you maintain with aspirants?
We limit ourselves to receiving demos since our music circle is very intimate so we select each artist for the launch and the same artist can refer his friends, at some time we receive demos but that is not the energy that we want to receive since we expect our ears to open directly with the artist.
How many VA and compilations do you release in a year and what kind of tracks you choose? What kind of artists do you select for the VA? Basically what purpose does a VA serve to a label?
It is very rare when we launch a V/A but for 2023 we already have one of these releases planned, our releases are monthly as we look for quality and not quantity, on the other hand instead of a V/A we decided to launch a new series called LTD where we select a good artist and someone from the label remixes these tracks that have been created.
Which one has been a highlight release and why?
We don't have a better EP for us every release is very valuable and each one has a feeling in the creation, but we share the link where you can find all our digital discography of KVLTÖ Records.
What do you expect from new talent when you sign them? What makes you reject them from releasing on your label?
The new faces are very versatile in their sounds so we hope they will also show their great talent but sometimes they need to realize what they want to convey in their music and when they don't convey it we tell them so they can create something that fills our souls.
From your country, which other label is pushing the same music as you are and how do you think everyone is helping push the local producers?
We are based in Mexico and France, so each country has its own different impulse, we cannot say which one we like from each one because we have many favorite labels that transmit that purity of sound.
What kind of support do you look for from artists and other parties in promoting your music worldwide? What are the challenges in promoting music to corners of the world where you may not be as popular as in your home country.
The support is mutual both from Friends, Artists, Promotion Channels, Labels, Djs, Producers, Public and Followers, so we do not seek to be popular, that is not our goal within music, music is simply to share and not compete.
