André Moret Returns to Transensations with a Smashing EP of 2 Originals and Remixes. Out Now.

Congratulations on releasing music on For Senses. It is a beautiful track and remixes are well done too. Thank you for taking your time out to answer few questions pertaining to your EP and thank you for an opportunity to premiere.

What is the inspiration behind this EP? How did you come up with the name?

Firstly, hello! Thank you very much for the space and for the opportunity to expose some of my ideas. When I set out to produce the original tracks, I was a little tired of the same creative processes I had been having. So this time, for the song 'Cloudy Soul' I looked for references with lines more focused on trance and I looked for a softness that I missed in producing, so I had a result within this proposal. The second song that composes the EP comes from a reference focused on Deep House, where I tried to explore the depth to the maximum, I try in a theoretical perspective of great dynamics between the sound waves as a deep grid in the mid and high sounds.

How did you overcome challenges to this EP? If there were any.

This was my first EP produced using analog pedals for reverb and delay effects. Mainly in the song 'Outlying' these equipment were more explored. So this was a new challenge for me.

How did you decide on artists who would remix/Collab? And what do you think of the end result?

I've been working with the Transensations Records family for a while now. So I can say that I have a lot of confidence in their work and I feel very comfortable checking what names they are looking for, to work with remixes. They always bring good artists and can conquer more and more space. All this we can see in the results we had with Matias Ocanõ and Hobin Rude's remixes.

How did you decide on the label who releases your music?

As I said earlier, my trust in Transensations Records is immense. So I didn't have many doubts that I would like to have another EP released with them. And I can say that it is the Brazilian label whose work I appreciate the most and feel comfortable working with.

How did you find match in this label where your EP is releasing

It's been a while since I've been in close contact with the guys responsible for the label. So, I know they are open to new proposals for progressive sounds so I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to work with them with whatever inspiration I have. Because I'm a little tired of the labels within progressive sounds that are always looking for the same types of music, with the usual elements. Transensations is doing a really great job that facilitates this metch looking for different sounds.

An instrument or device that has been monumental in this EP? And why?

I used my JX-03 analog synthesizer for the bass lines and some mid effects. To create ambiences and other dynamics I used the Specular Tempus and Echo System pedals. I must also point out that the mix and master work were done with the help of UAD plugins. These equipment were new acquisitions I've made recently, and I've been feeling an extreme difference in the final quality of my music.

How soon can we expect your next release and what is that going to be about?

I have some releases in the pipeline, both as a remix and as an original mix. But that depends a lot on the time of each record company. But I believe I will have a lot of new songs by the end of the year. (And we so eagerly look forawrd to listening to each one of them)

BRC thanks Transensations Records for this opportunity to premiere one of their releases. Also thank you to everyone who supported André Moret's track "Cloudy Soul (Original Mix)" in any manner they could.
